Nel favoloso scenario del golfo di Mondello, all’interno della grande manifestazione del Windsurf World Festival, tra i colori delle vele della Merit Cup, quest’anno scenderanno in spiaggia anche i migliori atleti di uno degli sport pił spettacolari ed entusiasmanti: il Beach Volley.

 In the wonderful scenary of the gulf of Mondello, within the great Windsurf World Festival event, among the colours of the sails of the Merit Cup, this year will enter the beach also the best athletes of one of the most enthousiasmic sports: the Beach Volley.
The greatest italians specialists and many others coming from Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Holland and Argentina will set a very high technic level match in order to involve, to entertain and to amaze the large public coming not only from Mondello.
Between May 29th and June 1st the twelve players of the Top of the Beach, divided into three teams, two composed by men and one by women, will play the italian first series changing the partner each match. The best two players of each round will pass to the final round where the title of Top of the Beach will be allotted. The remaining four players will play a consolation round.
That is the innovative formula of the Top of the Beach, created by the american Karch Kiraly, in order to make the competition more and more charming for the public. Within the breaks of the matches the protagonists of the championship will be involved, together with the public, in competitions, games and entertainments with guests and authorities.The greatest surprise is for our "indigenous" beachers which, through a pre-qualification championship, will have the possibility to meet in an exibition match important

acrobatic players such as Giorgio Pallotta, or Stefan Potyka, rewarded as the best wall at the World Cup 1992 in Lignano, or the italian beach volley woman champion 1995 Cristiana Parenzan. Everybody will be involved: however you conceive sport, whichever your physical conditions are and even if you can not be considered a sportman\woman come to this great event. "Amusement" will be the password!
